I would like to share this video that I found on YouTube. It is a prime example of the struggles that the college graduates of 2010 are facing with unemployment. As college students ourselves, we will be in this position in several years if we cannot find a way out of this crisis. Watch the video and let me know what thoughts you may have!

All I can say about this is that it is shocking. I haven’t pictured myself in years to come struggling to find a job and attempting to make ends meet. Every now and then I will hear a story of a college grad who is doing great, making big money and going through their life with ease, and that’s sort of how I’ve pictured it for myself. Obviously, though, that is almost always not the reality of the situation. The realization that these years in college need to be spent preparing for work solely is a tough one and I can only hope that by the time I graduate I will have success in finding a job.
ReplyDeleteI would love to say that college is not a waste of our time because I really don't believe it. However, I'm glad you showed interest in this post because as college students, we DO need to think about these things and plan our majors carefully around what jobs will be available in the future. I know that I will be going into the medical field because anyone with a medical degree is usually needed no matter how unfortunate our economical situations have become.
